Rickey G. Gallimore, Jr.

February 28, 1968 — July 16, 2023

Rickey “Rick” G. Gallimore, Jr., 55, of Piqua, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio of natural causes. He was born on February 28, 1968, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Vivian (Looker) Belt and the late Rickey G. Gallimore, Sr.

He worked in construction almost all his life and loved it. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build. Rick adored his daughters and was very active in their lives as young children, helping coach their soccer teams, softball, and t-ball teams, even dressing up as Santa for their school Christmas events. He became very adept at painting their tiny little fingernails; even though ponytails in their hair was not his are of expertise, he always did his best for them, instilling a lifelong love of parks and nature in them both after spending every day after school walking the trails at Tawawa Park. Rick loved riding motorcycles and owned numerous ones over the years, but his favorite seemed to be the Honda Goldwing that he used to cruise around on all year long, always bundled up in leather for that Ohio winter weather. He never let go of his collecting of tins, any kind of tin, the odder and more unique the better, something he inherited from his late mother. Rick will be missed by so many and forever loved.

Rick leaves behind so many to cherish a lifetime of precious memories: his daughters, Anduryn and Nita Gallimore; granddaughter, Hazel Gallimore-Van Hook; his life partner, Stacy Knasel; bonus daughter, Tegan (Stephanie) Nickel; bonus grandchildren, Stacy “Little Bit” Keith, and Liam Nickel; brother, John (Amy) Gallimore; nieces, Kelcey and Brianna Gallimore; great-niece, Liliana Gallimore; aunts: Carol (Tom) Stiver, Edith Marchal, Betty Blue, and Mary Looker; uncles, John (Kathy) Looker, and Jim Looker; countless cousins with whom he enjoyed catching up with at that famous Looker reunion every August; and his estranged wife, Gayle Gallimore with whom he shared their two daughters.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date for his family.
