Robert D. Edwards Bray

Robert Deron Edwards Bray, 56, went to rest on Sunday, December 25, 2021. Better known as Deron, he was born on May 2, 1965, to Eloise Bray and Robert Lee Edwards in Springfield, Ohio. Deron attended Springfield North High School where he received his high school diploma and retired from Springfield Metropolitan Housing in 2017 after 30 years of impeccable service. Deron was an avid die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan. He had a great love for sports, mainly football. He had a heart of gold and was HUGE on his faith in God. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He was big on coming together and loving one another. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 17 years, Tammy Edwards; children, Tamarra Tatum of Dayton, OH, Tiesha Tatum of Dayton, OH, Deija Edwards of Springfield, OH, Deinija Edwards of North Carolina, Darius Powell of Springfield, OH, Tonisha Powell of Springfield, OH and Talana Jones of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Grace Der’rion, Ki’Mora, Ka’Tye, Elijah, Taviona, Micheal and Tavon; god granddaughter, Keaaron Howard, better known as “Keke”; two brothers, Aaron Bray of Springfield, OH and Gary Bray of Columbus, OH; four sisters, Mary Johnson, Viveca Bray, Valerie Bray and Hedy Vaughns, all of Springfield, Ohio; special friends/brothers, JJ Carter and Mike Brown; a host of other beloved siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deron was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise Bray and father, Robert Lee Edwards; sister, Jana Bray; brothers, Jonathan “Johnny” Bray, Micheal Bray, Merlin “Buggs” Bray, Kevin “Lenny” Bray and Luther “Bootsie” Bray; special cousin and best friend, Phillip E. Strodes, Sr. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 3, 2021 at Restored Life Ministries, 1117 Innisfallen Avenue, Springfield, Ohio 45506.
