Robert J. Turnbow

Robert Judson Turnbow, 67, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Monday, February 15, 2021. He was born in Cincinnati on January 10, 1954, to the union of Willie Bonner and Gladys Turnbow. He was a strong, will-minded, fearless, and a natural-born leader. Robert did what he wanted to do and never cared about what others thought of him. His biggest accomplishment was his sons and their independence. Robert loved to just sit at home, watch t.v. while drinking his beer and minding his own business. Robert was not afraid of struggling. He would fall and get right back up and try it again. Robert valued, cherished, and loved his family, even if they haven’t spoken in a while. He always got a kick out of playing pranks on his niece Jamila, just for a good laugh. Robert was a simple man and the littlest things pleased him. Such as getting a haircut, a plate of food, or receiving a phone call. He was not religious but he was a believer. Robert was never scared of dying. He prepped and prepared for this day to come. So please, don’t shed a tear because Robert is no longer here suffering or in pain. So, Betty and Meggie, don’t cry because your brother Bob is gone and is saying, “Bye Bye Bye.” Robert leaves to mourn his passing: companion, Julie Atkins; sons, Jason Overstreet and Robert Turnbow; grandchildren, Javina Overstreet, Elijah Vasquez, Eliana Vasquez, Jaxson Turnbow; sisters, Betty Turnbow, Barbara Stubblefield, Roselyn Ridley, Magleen Turnbow, Janie Turnbow, Alice Rivers, Barbara Wright, Nannette Crutcher, and Orlene Mukes; brothers, Raymond Turnbow, Marvin (Chico) Turnbow and Willie Jacobs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Turnbow and Willie Bonner; sisters, Gloria Turnbow, Pat Bonner, Nellie Bonner, Olivia Bonner, Abbie Bonner, Ledonia Bonner, Nedia Bonner; brothers, John Turnbow, Albert Turnbow, Gary Turnbow, Lamar Turbow, Willie Bonner, Jr., Purcell Bonner, Kenneth Bonner, and Samuel Bonner.
