Roderick E. Rogers, I.

Roderick E. Rogers, I., 65, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away Friday, December 11, 2020. He was born in Rockville, Maryland on September 2, 1955, the beloved son of the late Clarence T. and Swanee E. Rogers. By God's Grace and through Faith in his LORD, Roderick has moved on to his eternal home in glory. Roderick believed in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior according to The Holy Bible, John 3:16-17. He attended Washington D.C. and Maryland Public schools. Roderick continued his education in business administration at Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. He had a great interest in aviation as a child. Later Roderick became a flight instructor and continued a hobby of making model airplanes. After college, he pursued a career in business administration by managing various retail businesses. Roderick enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and watching Sunday football with family and friends. Roderick leaves to cherish his memory: the love of his life, Mary Johnson; sister, Dana E. Plummer; brother-in-law, John Plummer; daughter, Wanda Allen; son, Roderick E. Rogers II; daughter-in-law, Chernay Rogers; two precious granddaughters, Shamari and Zoie Rogers; and a host of family and friends. The family and friends of Roderick E. Rogers will be forever grateful to the patient and kind hospice care he received at Terrace View Gardens. Roderick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
