Ronald Venrick aka Oakie, 61, of Springfield, Ohio, was called home to rest on Saturday, October 26, 2019. It was his request that he began his journey to Heaven from the comfort of his home and God granted that wish. He was born July 27, 1958 to the late Roger Venrick and Betty Venrick in Springfield, Ohio. He married Tammy (Ferguson) Venrick on April 19, 1981, and to this union were born two children: Angel Venrick and Ashley Jones. Oakie was a devoted husband, father and friend to all that knew him. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He loved watching his football team the Chargers. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing and telling jokes. He loved going to Ocean Isle, North Carolina with his family for vacation. He loved to have get togethers so he could just spend time with his family. His family was his priority and all that mattered to him. He was an amazing father! Oakie was a loving husband and is survived by his wife, Tammy Venrick; mother, Betty Venrick; sister, Wendy Kelley; two daughters, Angel Venrick and Ashley (Thomas) Jones; two grandchildren, Terell Jackson and Jazlynn Jones; and a host of other relatives. Oakie requested no regular services to be held, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
