Saalim Muhammad, 23, of Springfield, Ohio made his transition unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2019. He was born February 26, 1996 in Springfield, Ohio to the union of Kenneth L. Muhammad and Devona M. Muhammad. He leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Kenneth and Devona Muhammad; brother, Sharif Muhammad; sisters, Yaasmin Muhammad and Zarriah Muhammad; grandfather, Marvin E. Crowe; grandmothers, Ethel (Walker) Carter and Samantha Burton; nephew, Tahj Muhammad-Day; niece, Madison Muhammad; special cousin, James Howard White III; specials friends, Camron Staley and Luis Garza; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Saalim was preceded in death by his grandfather, Garrett B. Carter; and close cousin, George Allen Walker, Jr. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1171 South Yellow Springs Street, Springfield, Ohio 45506 with funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Ferncliff Cemetery.
