Sabrina Kemp

Sabrina Elizabeth Kemp (née Packe), 49, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. She was born in East Meadow, New York on October 16, 1974 to Shareen Packe and Donald Turner.

She will be remembered for being selfless and kindhearted, and for her creativity, and love for books and music. Sabrina graduated from North High School in 1993, and attended Clark State Community College and Wittenberg University where she received her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.

Sabrina attended church at Greater Bethel Church in London, Ohio, and later became a minister at Greater Works Apostolic Christian Assembly in Xenia/Springfield, Ohio, where she also led children’s choir, taught Sunday school, and Vacation Bible School.

One special thing about Sabrina is that she was very musically attuned. She had a beautiful singing voice and absolutely loved to sing. Anyone close to her had their own special song. Sabrina played the piano well and played until she physically could not anymore. She was a part of the choir at Greater Bethel church and was the choir director at Greater Works.

Sabrina leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Shareen Packe; father, Donald Turner; sisters, Tanasia Edwards and Tiffany Edwards; husband, Duane Kemp; children: Paige (Troy) Freehauf, and Maia and Niles Savery; grandson, Elliott Freehauf; aunt, Cozette Snead; uncle, Todd Packe; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edna and Fleetwood Chandler; grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Packe; grandfather, Walter A. Packe; aunt, Ester Wilson; uncles, Walter Packe and Kenneth Snead; and sister, Shanell Edwards.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Greater Works Apostolic Christian Assembly, 1704 Sunset Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
