Sean Lamont (Lil Sean) Green, 38, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was born on February 14, 1986, in Cincinnati, Ohio, was a beacon of resilience and love. As the eldest son of Angela Kaye Green and Shawn Lamont Hughes, Sean's life was deeply intertwined with his family's history and support. His grandparents, Katherine Marie (Green) Hairston, Deborah Delores Hughes (deceased), and William Samuel Hairston (deceased), played significant roles in his upbringing.
Angela, his mother, moved to Cincinnati as a teenager, where she graduated from Aiken High School and attended some college before welcoming Sean into the world. Sean was adored not only by his parents but also by his special aunts, Michelle Jenkins and Katrina Hill, who provided additional care and love. He has three sisters, Shaunia Hughes, Shenetta Hughes, and Shaunte Cooper, and one brother, Angelo Cooper Calloway. Sean attended Cincinnati Public Schools, where he explored his curiosity and eagerness to learn.
Throughout his life, Sean faced numerous challenges, including significant tragedies that would test anyone's spirit. Despite these hardships, he remained humble and calm, even when mentally and emotionally exhausted. Diagnosed with cancer two and a half years ago, Sean continued to find joy in visiting his family and being in their presence. His love of music, video games, and TV shows like "Law and Order" and "CSI" provided him with comfort and happiness. Creating songs with his cousins Todd and Joseph was a cherished pastime.
Sean's life was a testament to his love for family and his zest for life. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories with his cousins Marcus, Kenny Todd (Richard), Trino, Keyashia, Tena, Tia, Lala, Joseph, and Nadia, his sisters Shaunia, Shenetta, and Shaunte, and his brother Angelo. His nieces and nephews, A’vion, Arius, Adiya, Sklar, Marlee, Donnell, and other cousins and relatives will forever remember his warmth and strength. Sean's journey, marked by love and resilience, reflects how he was as a son, grandson, uncle, nephew, and cousin.
We were very blessed to have this young man in our lives. We will miss him tremendously and we thank God for the opportunity to know him. We were fortunate to have him in our lives and know that God has him and he’s in a better place, and he no longer will suffer anymore.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024 in Spring Grove Cemetery at the Cedars of Lebanon Chapel, 4521 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45232. Interment: Spring Grove Cemetery.
