Sharon Ann (Alcorn) Behnken, 72, of Xenia, Ohio passed away at home peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023 after a well fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Seattle, Washington on May 7, 1950 to the union of Samuel J. Alcorn and Joan E. (Liddington) Alcorn.
She worked for Walmart for 25 years before she retired. Sharon loved God and was an active member of Xenia Christ Temple Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sharon loved watching TV especially animal shows. She had a great love for animals. If Sharon could have had a zoo, she would have. She loved feeding her animal friends and her birds, especially hummingbirds. Sharon loved her dog, Tillie, who misses her terribly. She had a great dislike for June bugs and stink bugs, she could never figure out why God made them. Sharon had a smile that would light up a room and a heart that would make you feel welcomed. She was a Great Mom, Grandmumsie, Foofie, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Sharon will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Joanna (John II) Riley, Bethanie Musgrove, and Arnold Behnken; sister, Sandra Atkinson; grandchildren, Jocelyn Musgrove, Isaiah Musgrove, Avalinn Riley, and Anorah Riley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, but good friend Lloyd R. Behnken; and sister, Patricia Bassett.
A Memorial service will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a dinner to follow on May 13, 2023 at Xenia Christ Temple Church, 1000 Jasper Rd, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
