Sheila K. Dixon, 69, of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. She was born in Princeton, Indiana on November 16, 1953, to Ellis L. Hardiman, Sr. and Naomi (Lyles) Hardiman.
Sheila leaves to cherish in memory: her son, Gordon Kyle Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; four Grandsons: Brendon Jaymes Robinson of Springfield, Ohio, James (Melinda) Lynn Robinson of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Jorden Lamar Robinson of Columbus, Ohio, and Tyrieq Davian Keshawn Stringer of Twentynine Palm, California; granddaughter, Chantel Overstreet of Springfield, Ohio; great-granddaughters: Rya Lee Vernice Robinson of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Ca’Miah Robinson of Springfield, Ohio; brother, Ellis (Kyra) L. Hardiman, Jr. of Springfield, Ohio; sister, Trudy H. Tillman of Springfield, Ohio; sister-in-law, Christy “Chris” Hardiman; stepson, Millard (Christina) Michael Dixon, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; stepdaughters, Laytoya (Brandon) Simpkins of Yellow Springs, Ohio, and Sue McWhorter of Springfield, Ohio; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Millard Michael “Mike” Dixon, Sr.; daughter, Cara V. Robinson; brothers, Elbert L. Hardiman, Sr., and Howard N. Hardiman; sister, Myrna R. Embry; brother-in-law, Larry Tillman, Jr.; sister-in-law, Brenda J. Hardiman; and stepson, Thomas Dwayne McWhorter.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until Homegoing service at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Covenant United Methodist Church, 529 W Johnny Lytle Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45506 with Pastor Jawwad Love officiating. Interment will follow
at Ferncliff Cemetery.
