Sondra Lee Bass, 86, of Springfield, Ohio departed this life Saturday, January 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Springfield on July 16, 1937, the daugther of James M. Brown and Gladys (Davis) Brown Harper.
Mrs. Bass was employed by Mercy Hospital for over 30 years until her retirement.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Tanya (Ronald) Carr, Denise (Gurley) Ramey; sons, Andre Bass of Columbus, Ohio, and Darryl Bass of Urbana, Ohio; seven grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, James Harper; husband of 59 years, Itan Maurice Bass; sister, Betty Walker; two brothers, William Brown and James Brown; one granddaughter, Tiffany R. Bass; two grandsons, Lucas Bass and Isaiah Bass.
