Speed Walton II, 66, passed from this life Thursday, August 9, 2018. He was born on June 12, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio at General Hospital to Speed C. Walton, Sr. and Daisy (Sanders) Walton. He attended Madisonville Elementary, graduated from Hughes High School and joined the United States Coast Guard in 1970, and was honorably discharged in 1972. Speed enjoyed traveling, visiting his friends and spending time with his family. He loved children and often spent time watching his grandkids. Some of his other hobbies included fishing and raising dogs, which he truly loved. Speed was known for his bubbly personality, always smiling and he always had a story to tell. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Tanya Walton; sisters, Bernanetia (Robert) Williams, Fayetta Sanders and Gioavannia Bouldin; brothers, James Pickett, Darran Sanders, William Sanders, and Norman Sanders; daughter, Falana Whitehead; sons, Steve Ross, Speed Walton III, Jamey Middleton, and De'Andre Rogers; grandchildren, Pierre Sneed, Ja'Rod Whitehead, Malachi Whitehead, Armontti Henderson, Wenlayziah and Charli Ross, Gabrielle Willingham, Torrence Wynn, Jasmine, Jamey and Jeniia Middleton; seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Speed was preceded in death by his father, Speed C. Walton, Sr., and his mother, Daisy (Sanders) Walton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at James Temple Church of God in Christ, 1116 Lincoln Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Final arrangements entrusted to the care of the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
