Stephanie Spencer

Stephanie Spencer, 58, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023. She was born on January 15, 1965 to Beatrice and Sterling Spencer. Stephanie is the 11th of 13 children.

She was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Stephanie attended and excelled at Kennedy Elementary and St. Francis De Sales. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1983. She also attended the University of Cincinnati. Stephanie accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ under the leadership of her father, the late Bishop Sterling Spencer.

She had a quiet strength about her. Stephanie was an amazing storyteller. She would reenact elaborate and beautiful stories that captivated everyone that listened. Stephanie had a unique sense of humor. She would tell jokes and everyone around would laugh. Stephanie enjoyed traveling. She would take scenic drives out of town, most often to Florida. Stephanie would brighten up when she looked at new homes. Now, she has her brand new mansion in the sky that she spoke to so many of us about.

Stephanie was a prayer warrior and knew how to move God with her praise. She was a great friend, sister, listener and mother. Stephanie believed in family. Stephanie was an excellent mother and she opened up her home to many others. She cared for everyone and their children, no matter who you were. She gave the shirt off of her back! Stephanie even became a second mother to her special nieces Lakeisha, Keonna, and Tangela!

Stephanie departed her life on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 leaving behind: Her children (Anthony, Anastasia, Kyra, Olivia, and Jayshawn), a plethora of nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. She leaves behind 12 siblings: Dorothy Bradford, Sterling Spencer Jr., Barbara Harper, Melvin Spencer, Gwendolyn Flowers, Donald Spencer, Deborah Murphy, Bishop Jerome Spencer, Jeffrey Spencer, Douglas Spencer, Pamela Spencer, and Yolanda Spencer.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Faith Temple Church of God, 825 Rockdale Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. Interment: Vine St. Hill Cemetery.
