Terrence D. Edwards

Terrence David Edwards, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born December 8,1939 in Springfield, Ohio. After his mother Betty Edwards passed, his aunt Loretta Clark took on the responsibility to love and care for him. He graduated from Catholic Central High where he excelled in football. Terri, as he was affectionately called, retired from the former International Harvester, now Navistar, with over 30 years of service. He was a dedicated member of Trydestone Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the trustee board. In recent years, if he was not at home, you could find him at the church cooking and humming among other things. Terri greeted everyone he met with a smile. His dimples were contagious. Terri enjoyed watching NASCAR. His hobbies included fishing and gun collecting. On June 27, 2018, the Lord called Terri home. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Edwards, his aunt Loretta Clark, brother-in-law James Whitfield, and sister-in-law Gwendolyn Edwards. Terri leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Terri L. Edwards of Columbus, OH; brother, Philip Edwards of Springfield, OH; sister, Patricia Whitfield of Upper Marlboro, MD; best friend, Overtis Douglas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
