Tonia Denton-White

August 8, 1961 — January 6, 2025

Tonia "Toni" Michelle Denton-White, 63, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Monday, January 6, 2025. She was born to Louise Denton Brantley and Ralph Brockman on August 8, 1961 and nurtured and reared by her stepfather, Henry Brantley.

She loved hard and lived a vibrant life in spite of any and all hardships, filled with kindness, and bursting with joy as her contagious laughter and pure honest comedic thoughts brightened many lives.

Tonia, affectionately called " Toni" was a long time resident of Madisonville, Ohio in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Withrow High school in 1980. Tonia was truly dedicated to her employers. She spent years in the medical environment. Among her places of employment were Children's Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, University of Cincinnati Hospital, and The Cincinnati Public school district where she made more than a difference and had a positive impact that will be missed to say the least. She was the hardest worker, carrying multiple jobs at a time to make sure her family had what they needed as well as wanted. She obtained many proficiency certifications in various work roles along her career path and also became a Notary Public for the state of Ohio. Tonia later developed an entrepreneurial spirit and was preparing to continue her next phase of life building her dreams. Toni was also a member of New Missionary Baptist Church.

She was a devoted mother of three. Tonia's first marriage to Michael Isome gave way to two children. She later remarried Dennis White and they have since been divorced.

Tonia Denton leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Terri Bolds Wilkinson-Hill (Johnathan Hill), and Lakesha Isome; her son, Antwan Isome; grandchildren: Mondayll, Montrae, Micah, Mielle, Casmier, Antwan, Ariya, and Nahlani; bonus daughter, Ashley; bonus grandchildren, Jorden, Aden, and Aniyah; sisters: Charlotte (Gregory), Phyllis, Verneica, Linda Marie, and Madeline; sisters-in-law, Cheryl, and Clara; brothers-in-law: Calvin, Frank, and Stanley; a host of nieces and nephews that will miss their Aunt Toni, as well as, other family and friends. Throughout Tonia's life she developed and maintained genuine relationships. The Clingman family has been a pivotal part of her and her children's lives. She also leaves her lifelong friend, Selina Benson, and close friend, Mary Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Louise Brantley, Ralph Brockman, and stepfather, Henry Brantley; siblings: Curtis, Sr., Reginald, Cassandra, Linda K, Tashika, Brenda, Micheal, Earl Lee, Patricia, James, Steve, Terry, and Sheila.

Tonia spent what little free time she had crocheting and anyone who knows Tonia is aware that she was a master hair Braider who blessed many heads with her talent. She passed that skill onto her daughter, Lakesha.

Toni's infectious laugh will ring forever in the ears of those who were fortunate enough to hear it. She was called on by many to assist them in coping with life's challenges and was always right there, unselfishly for those she loved with words of encouragement crafted in such a way that only Toni could say and make it all make all the sense. We all knew...on the other hand...just DON'T mess with Toni!!!

Her heart was big enough to be felt in her absence, her smile took over the space and places she shared it in and changed the mood of those she shared it with, her opinion demanded to be heard - as she held no bars- and spoke more than freely what was on her mind to say. Missing her presence goes without saying...yet having known her is a blessing that cannot be replaced.

Word to the wise: Never proceed through Outback Steakhouses doors without Toni in your thoughts...it was indeed her favorite restaurant.
