Trina Marlene Walker

Trina Marlene (Hutchinson) Walker, 71, of Springfield, Ohio transcended from this life on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Springfield Regional Hospital. She was born January 12, 1950 in Yellow Springs, Ohio to Samuel T. Hutchinson and Betty (Long) Jones. She graduated from Central State University with a Bachelor's in Education and earned her Master’s Degree at the University of Dayton. Trina went on to complete a 49-year tenure in the Springfield City Schools. An expert in the field of Special Education, she was highly respected and admired by co-workers and students alike. Trina was an avid reader, wordsmith and consummate professional. She also loved to travel with her daughter, Tracy, and granddaughters, Paige and Blake, as well as, her sister, Sherry. Trina leaves to cherish her memory: her loving daughter, Tracy Marie (Walker) Newton of Virginia; two granddaughters, Paige Marie and Blake Elese Newton of Virginia; sisters, Sherry (Hutchinson) Reed, Shawn Hutchinson of Ohio, and Chara Hutchinson of Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and students. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carola Ann (Banks) Walker; and brother, Henry Alexander. A Memorial Service will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Greater Grace Temple, 380 West Leffel Lane, Springfield, Ohio 45506. As Trina was a colon cancer survivor, the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, any charitable donations be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center .
