Walter E. Crawford, Jr., 71, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021. He was born in Springfield on July 18, 1950 to the union of Walter Ernest Crawford, Sr. and Anna L. (Burley) Crawford. He was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where he served also as a property maintenance professional. Walter leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Shirley Rice Crawford; children, Erika Crawford and Todd Rice; grandchildren, Jazmine Thomas, Austin Thomas, Trayvon Ligone, Tayvion Ligone, Caelyn Rice, and Tehya Rice; great-grandchildren, August Mitchell and Ja-Laya Mitchell; siblings, Ralph James Crawford, Sr., Faith Ann Crawford, Cheryl Smith-Cain, Greg Cain, Bonnie Crawford, and Keith Crawford; aunts and uncles, Preston Hampton, Louise Burley, George Burley, Marsha Burley, and David Burley; special friends, Michael Howard, Mike Wells and Brock Seibels; and a host of other dear family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Walter Ernest Crawford III and Terrence L. Crawford; sister, Carol Lynn Crawford; and his parents. Arrangements entrusted to the care of KINLEY Funeral Home.
