Willie George Arnold, 38, affectionately known as “Rooster,” “Booby,” or “Chilly Willie" (this name he gave himself), of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born on April 24, 1982 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Carolyn and Rodney Arnold, Sr. Named after both of his grandfathers (Willie Arnold and George Sadler), he is the youngest of three siblings. He attended Cincinnati Public Schools. As a child, Willie was interested in sports, particularly basketball. He was a star player for the KenSil basketball team when he played for them. As a high school student, his focus shifted to work because he desired to make his own money and start supporting himself. As a young man, Willie found his calling in working with disabled adults who could not fully live on their own. He started out as a companion to his clients—taking them to appointments and sitting with them in their homes. But due to his commitment and eagerness, Willie was eventually trusted to administer medications to his many clients. And he always had a funny story to share with his family about a trip or some other incident involving a client. Willie was also actively involved in his home church while growing up. From Christmas and Easter speeches to lending a hand to the Usher Board, he could be seen running around and hanging out with his cousins on Sundays. Let it be known that Willie is a believer in Jesus Christ. He often accompanied his mother to church as an adult when he needed to draw on the strength of the Lord and his church family. He knew from whence his help came. He loved his family. When Willie was younger, he looked after his brother and forgave his big sister for teasing him. Willie George’s life will continue to be celebrated by his parents, Rodney, Sr. and Carolyn; his brother, Rodney, Jr.; his sister, Melissa Green; two nephews, Bryce and Brandon Green; two grandmothers, Mary Arnold and Josie Sadler; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation and Service will be held privately. Arrangements entrusted to the care of KINLEY Funeral Home.
