Wilma J. Strickler

Wilma Jean Strickler, 68, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10:23 a.m. in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in Winchester, Kentucky on January 25, 1955 to Loretta and Buford Townsend.

She worked most at fast food. Wilma loved to take care of her loved ones. She enjoyed to color and make blankets from yarn in her free time. Wilma was most happy when she was with her family. She was the most beautiful amazing strong person that we will all miss deeply. Wilma will always be remembered by the stories she told, the food she made, and all the hard work she put in for her family--never giving up when times got hard. Wilma will forever be in our hearts.

Wilma leaves to cherish her memory: husband of 45 years, John Strickler; three sons and one daughter; a granddaughter whom she raised as a daughter, Courtney Sigmund; five granddaughters, seven grandsons, and five great-grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters; 14 nieces and nephews, and 24 great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Jennifer King; brother, Donald Townsend; and aunt, Fada Townsend; two nieces, Shy Archer and Ashley Townsend; nephew, Eric Archer; and mother-in-law, Loretta Linding.
